Weight And Momentum
How movement feels, measured
Nothing that a reader would object to, and considerably less than most sites of this kind. The short version is that there is no tracking here of any description.
This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to, and no preference to store because the site has no preferences. If your browser reports a cookie from this domain, something has gone wrong and we would like to know.
No analytics service of any kind is present. There is no page-view counter, no session recorder, no heatmap, no scroll-depth tracker and no third-party measurement script. We do not know how many people read any given review, which is occasionally frustrating and is a deliberate trade.
The consequence worth stating plainly: we cannot tell whether an article was popular, so nothing on this site is chosen or written in response to what performs. A quarterly with six reviews an issue does not need an audience model.
Every file this site loads comes from this domain. There are no embedded videos, no external fonts, no image services, no social widgets, no comment platform and no advertising network. Loading a page here opens a connection to one server and no others, which can be verified in any browser's network inspector.
The hosting provider keeps standard access logs, as essentially all web hosting does. Those records exist for operational and security purposes, they are held for a short period under the provider's own retention policy, and they are not read, exported, analysed or joined to anything by us.
There is nothing to submit. This site contains no forms, no comment fields, no newsletter signup, no account system and no search box that transmits anything anywhere. Nobody can create a profile here because the concept does not exist in the site's construction.
The site is a written publication about the physics of movement in video games and holds no data about anybody, which means it holds no data about children either. No age is asked for and none could be recorded.
If the construction of the site ever changes in a way that affects this description — a self-hosted counter, for instance — this page will be rewritten before the change is made, not after. As of issue seven nothing described above has changed since the first issue.
The technical claims here are checkable: view the page source, or watch the network requests. Both will show a small number of files from a single origin and nothing else.
